Why were you up and streetside at 5:30 AM? That's heavy rain. I'd be snug in my bed.
My daughter has told me how hot and humid Moscow is in the summer. Sure hope your apt. has AC. There's does not so I am sure my SIL is feeling the heat and humidity (not that he is there much as he is at the office for long hours).
It got quiet cold here in CT last night (2 blanket night) and it's my favorite summer weather - warm, sunny, dry air during the day and cold at night. Long may it last.
You all should see old Soviet movie - Ya shagayuy po Moskve - it is wonderful movie, and the rain is similar to yours, but it happens in much more convenient time.I thing the main character is played by Nikita Michalkov. We saw it last winter in the artsy movie theater in Westchester. Olga
yep - baby has been sleeping all night (woo hoo!finally!) but she is up and ready for the day around 5 (this morning 4:30). I filmed looking out our open living room window. N sat on the sill and we watched the rain/lightning/thunder for almost 30 min. I actually like the rain - clears the air, smells nice, souds nice . . .
We are woring on going back to sleep at 5, but so far to no avail. Leo likes it because he gets up for work (well to go to the gym before work) around 6 - so he gets to play with her a little in the mornings.
I am a mid 30s mom of 3 getting my family ready to move to Moscow, Russia. errr make that recently moved! Son o mine P was born in 2000, Sweet daughter M born in 02 and Babykinz N born in dec 08 (also a girl). Hubby L was born and raised in Russia. He moved to the US in 1992. We met and married in 1995. We have lived in the Seattle area since 1996. When I am not hanging with my kiddos I like to read, cook, do crafty things, and I LOVE music.

It looked like that here yesterday. Not the thunder but the rain. It is warm though, makes everything really grow:)
it is pretty warm here too, a few hours later and everything is dry - amazing - but the air is really heavy - sultry we would say!

It kind of feels like home, yes?
And, I agree - what on earth were you doing up and filming at 5:30 am?

Your baby is up at 5:00 a.m. Horrors! Hope her schedule changes. I was very fortunate that my daughter slept for 12 hours or so from around 7:00 p.m.
