priceless

Since arriving in the US last week I:

drank tap water

walked barefoot in grass

drove and drove and drove

saw acres and acres of trees

saw snow capped mountains

saw large body of water - puget sound

smelled the sea air

sat in a restaurant and first thing they did was give me water, with ice, for free

at the restaurant they brought a highchair for Natasha, without my having to ask for one.

ordered coffee and they put a thermos on the table. Just in case I wanted free refills

picked fresh raspberries and strawberries and ate them

smelled a sweet fragrant rose on the bush

did an entire load of laundry - washed and dried in less than an hour

made the kids annies mac and cheese

natasha had cheerios

rode bikes to the park with the kids

My kids werent the only ones wearing helmets

Ran into Target to get M socks. I parked, went in, found what I wanted, paid (less than $5 for 3 pair) then left. Took less than 10 minutes.

No one rammed me with their cart.

Kids played at a playground built on thick foam rubber, for their safety.

Amazing what you dont realize you miss.

  2. You are making me miss home. All of those things sound amazing! I am looking forward to being able to make a grocery run and having it take an hour total (including drive time). Moscow is killer when it comes to grocery stores. It seems to take up almost half the day with traffic, lines and people.

    Enjoy your time home. :)

  3. I still can't get over the fact I can drink and cook with tap water. I still cringe slightly watching people use tap water on cooking shows.

  4. Socks for $5! That is free! And, you made me home sick!!!!

For you next post...What habits have your brought back to the states?
1.) Have you rammed someone with your shopping cart if they are in your way?
2.) Are you wearing high heels to the park? 3.) Have you cut-in line or merged in a line as I like to call it?

I love the pics on your other post! I am sure that coffee was well under $12 for unlimited cups!
