Creeps me out.
I think he will suddenly come alive and lunge at me as I walk by (a la Disneyland Haunted House).
I have to walk by him to get to my gym.
I cross the street.

Cafe Freud! (it is a weird one in Russian, isnt it? took me a minute to figure it out).
They are messing with my head!!
I thought it said "Cafe OPERA," but I wasn't really paying attention.

ReplyDeleteI once had a friend whose husband was a psychologist. They had an enormous (full-sized) painting of Freud in their living room. Probably 6 x 8, add a wide, gilded frame. It was really a gorgeous portrait, Freud sitting at his desk, done in a style appropriate to his era....but the psychologist had had this portrait painted for him! I mean, it was gorgeous, and elegant, and appropriate, to some extent (perhaps more to his office than his home) - but surely it showed an uncommon devotion to a non-relative. Seemed to me.
Beat this statue, though.
